THE CHILDREN SPECTATORS 2020 – CALL FOR ILLUSTRATORS

Mapping partner Bologna Children’s Boof Fair has issued the call for the second edition of The Children Spectators exhibition.

Professional illustrators and those just starting out have time until 18 December 2019 to send us their artworks (unpublished or published in the last 2 years), with their own interpretation of children spectators at performing events (theatre, ballet, music, circus, etc.), when artist and spectator share the same space.

The competition is centered around the interaction among performing arts, illustrations and literature for early childhood. Last year, the first edition ended with an exhibition of 31 illustrations on display at Testoni Ragazzi Theater in Bologna. At the end of the 4 years, Mapping will gather in one exhibition the best artists of each year’s selection accompanied by 4 international stars of illustration.
